About us | LEAP is an award-winning project established in 1992 has a proven track record of delivering a range of services for older people 50 years plus, aimed at improving and or maintaining their feelings of health and wellbeing, addressing issues around loneliness and isolation, access to services. Many of our older people experience significant challenges around poverty, deprivation, long term physical and mental health problems. Our aim is “Enhancing the lives of older people in the community.” through our key projects, delivered across several communities within South Lanarkshire. 1. Leisure and Learning - offering 30 different opportunities a week. 2. Befriending - Face to Face, telephone, group. 3. Handy person services - aimed at assisting older people to live independently in their own home. 4. Dementia support services for people living with dementia and their carers. 5 Community Hubs. Our 180 volunteers and small team of staff are key to our support of over 5000 older people a year. |
Our Wish | We are seeking support to erect a 2 meter fence around the Toll Pitch Pavilion in Cambuslang and the supply of fencing to achieve this. We are also seeking support to externally and internally paint the Spittal Community hub in Rutherglen and the supply of paint to achieve this. |
