| About us | WATIF is a passionate and dedicated community development trust focused on improving the quality of life for residents in our area. Development trusts are member organisations that combine community led action with an enterprising approach, with an aim to bring about social, economic and environmental renewal creating wealth in communities and keeping it there. At WATIF we deliver projects that tackle the issues of greatest concern to our community such as non-existent public transport, poor broadband, community activities and lack of services.At WATIF we are committed to delivering asset-based community development for community resilience and our strategic objectives are to build community capacity and achieve more sustainable economic, environmental and social development through our investments and project delivery. |
| Our Wish | One of the barns at our community farm currently has a hardcore floor. We would like to replace this with a concrete floor to significantly reduce the health and safety risk for the children from our community using the barn. A new floor will give us the capability to use the space for events like craft fairs, allowing us to showcase our community businesses and also products that are produced at the farm as well. We are hosting the Biggar Little Art Festival in Oct and need the floor to be upgraded before that date. |
