| About us | We are a community volunteer group, operating since 2018, living in a socially deprived post code area. We strive to help and support our neighbours, friends and families in any way we can by working in partnership with all organisations in our locality.We have built our f\book page to 4500 followers, Hillhouse Tenant and Residents association. |
| Our Wish | Each year we hold the Haunting of Hillhouse at Halloween in our recreational area, It has grown in popularity and we have visitors from all over coming to attend the event, upwards of 500. All our volunteers start working on outdoor props providing a theme for each area, we hold 1.3 acres of land and decorate nearly every inch. The kids are deeply involved and have their own area to decorate. We need toffee apples, crisps, halloween sweets,we gave out over 500 last year, we also need more smoke machines. As quite a number of props are battery operated we estimate this year needing 20 packs AA, 15packs AAA, Obviously as its dark we need multiple lights to provide a safe passage for everyone on their journey through our Haunting World. Although we always advertise for things we can upcycle on our page last year we had a total cash outlay of £1740. Our event has reached the ears of the BBC and they have requested a visit on the night to do a piece on Communities coming together, we want to shown that our community do indeed gather and do what they can for one another regardless of circumstance. |
