| Notice | On the 9 February 2026, South Lanarkshire Council made the above named Order, thereby introducing waiting restrictions at the junction of Ballantrae Road with Main Street, Blantyre/High Blantyre Road, Hamilton. The Order which comes into operation on the 30 March 2026, was advertised in the Hamilton Advertiser in the week beginning the 20 October 2025. The effect of the order is as previously stated. A copy of the Order and a map relative thereto are available for inspection on the council’s website. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by the 23 March 2026, apply to the Court of Session for this purpose. |

Indiscriminate parking at the junction of Ballantrae Road and Main Street/High Blantyre Road, reduces the carriageway width and causes difficulty for vehicles accessing and exiting the junction and is detrimental to road safety. Indiscriminate parking at the junction of Ballantrae Road with Main Street/High Blantyre Road, reduces the carriageway width and causes difficulty for vehicles exiting Ballantrae Road and is detrimental to road safety. |
