| Our Wish | Have you been thinking about renewing your minibuses lately? Do you have a minibus with removable seats, heaters, easy access that you no longer have use for, but it is in tip top, road worthy condition? Here at Kilbride Hospice, we have started, in partnership with Macmillan ICJ, a new venture called Compassionate Communities. We offer personalised support for anyone in South Lanarkshire living with a life-shortening illness, not only those receiving palliative care. Because our work is part-funded by Macmillan Cancer Support, we also provide tailored support for people affected by cancer at any stage, from diagnosis onward. Our support is available to: • People living with any life-shortening condition • People affected by cancer at any stage • Those with palliative care needs • Carers, families and loved ones impacted by serious illness. We have started our pilot venture in Cambuslang and Rutherglen, and we are out in our current minibus (which is near retirement!), taking the service to the people in the community. My big ask is, if you are thinking of upgrading your current minibuses, would you consider donating the older one to a very worthwhile cause? Thank you all for taking the time to reading my wish. |
