About usRain or Shine is a social enterprise based in Rutherglen, providing free children’s clothing, books, toys, consumables and equipment for families living in poverty across Cambuslang and Rutherglen and the wider area. The project works in partnership with food banks, statutory services, health care, schools and churches to reach the most deprived families. In addition to alleviating poverty, Rain or Shine strengthens the community by fostering inclusion, wellbeing and shared growth. Through EmpowerHER, we offer mental health and neurodiversity support for women, with creative activities, holistic wellbeing sessions and occasional swap shops where participants can connect, share skills and contribute sustainably. We are on Facebook and Instagram as Rain or Shine South Lanarkshire.
Our WishWe are looking for a financial donation in order to purchase items to help our group area, these include blinds for the windows, stationery to promote, consumables and soft furnishings. We are asking for £500.
