Section 24(2a) of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1959 requires a local authority before exercising any power of appropriate land which forms part of an open space to publish details of the appropriation and to consider any objections to that appropriation that may be made to them.

Notice is therefore hereby given that South Lanarkshire Council is proposing to appropriate the use of open space land at Westwood Hill, Westwood, East Kilbride to construct a new affordable housing development.
