You can request a garden waste uplift using our form. The charge for a garden waste uplift is £40.60 for 10 items.

How to prepare your garden waste uplift
Make sure that all garden waste uplift items are stored correctly at the designated collection point. Please do not place your garden waste out for uplift any earlier than the day before your scheduled collection date, as this may be reported as fly-tipping.
Trees, bushes, and branches must be cut into sections no longer than 5 feet, tied securely, and light enough for one person to lift.

To book an uplift, please complete our form. Payment is required at the time of booking.
Disposal of real Christmas trees
We'll collect real Christmas trees placed beside your burgundy food and garden waste bin on your normal burgundy bin collection day between Monday 5 January and Friday 16 January 2026.
If you don't have a burgundy bin, you can request a free garden waste uplift for your real Christmas tree. Uplifts can be booked online from Monday 22 December until 2.30pm on Wednesday 31 December. Trees will be uplifted between Monday 5 January and Friday 9 January 2026. Trees being uplifted must be cut into 5ft sections and tied together.
You can also take your real Christmas tree to one of our six Household Waste and Recycling Centres (HWRC). Please remember to book a slot for all HWRCs.
How to cancel or make changes to your garden waste uplift
To cancel a booked uplift before the collection date, please use the cancel option in your confirmation email.
