Tobacco legislation - sale and purchase

Fixed penalty notices and how to pay

If you are found to be selling tobacco to people under the age of 18 years you will receive a fixed penalty notice of £200.  If you pay the penalty within 14 days this will decrease to £150.

You can also be fined if you sell tobacco without signing up to the Scottish Tobacco Retailer's Register.

If you have received a penalty notice you can make the payment online
