Home fire safety visits
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) offers free home fire safety visits to help reduce accidental house fires and keep you and your family safe. These visits are quick, friendly and tailored to your home and needs.
What support is available?
During a home fire safety visit, SFRS can:
- provide and maintain smoke alarms
- help you create a fire action plan
- give cooking safety advice, including tips for using oil or fat fryers
- offer seasonal advice, such as staying safe with fires and fireworks
We also work with SFRS through our Community Safety Strategy to support safer neighbourhoods across South Lanarkshire.
