Stray and out of control dogs

Stray dogs

All dogs should be kept under control at all times. Dogs which are not on a leash and roaming unsupervised could be lifted by the dog warden and taken to the kennels, where they will try to find the owners if the dog is wearing identification or is chipped. If your dog is taken to the kennels you will be charged £25 plus a daily charge to get it back. Unclaimed dogs will be rehomed.

Outside of office hours you should take a stray dog to your nearest police station. Any welfare issues relating to any animal should be referred to the SSPCA.
