Employee Recognition Scheme

Employee Recognition Scheme

South Lanarkshire Council is launching its Employee Recognition Scheme to celebrate the dedication, effort and positive difference our employees make every day. The scheme gives colleagues, managers and members of the public an opportunity to recognise individuals or teams whose work has had a meaningful impact on services, communities or the people they support.

The scheme has been created to highlight the contribution employees make across the council and to promote a culture where great work is recognised and valued. It is designed to celebrate people who go the extra mile, show commitment to public service, support others, improve the way we work, or make a real difference for residents and communities.

Who can nominate and who can be nominated

Nominations may be submitted by colleagues, managers and members of the public. Individuals and teams working across South Lanarkshire Council can be nominated where their contribution has demonstrated commitment, teamwork, innovation, excellent service or a positive impact on others.

What to include in your nomination

When making a nomination, please explain what the individual or team did, why it stood out, and what difference it made. The strongest nominations usually include specific examples, describe the impact on colleagues, services or communities, and show why the contribution deserves recognition.

How to nominate

  1. Choose the person or team you want to nominate.
  2. Think about what they have done and the difference it has made.
  3. Complete the nomination form and provide clear examples to support your nomination.
  4. Submit your nomination before the published closing date.
