Annual Reports and Accounts

South Lanarkshire Integration Joint Board

Accounts for the period from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022

Notice is hereby given, in terms of Section 101(1) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, and Regulation 9(1) of the Local Authority Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2014, together with the provisions of Schedule 6 Paragraph 9 of the Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020 that: -

An unaudited copy of the Accounts of South Lanarkshire Integration Joint Board for the period from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 will be available to view electronically from Thursday 30 June 2022 at the South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership's website.

The Annual Accounts shall be open to inspection, free of charge, by any person interested, between Friday 1 July 2022 and Friday 22 July 2022 (inclusive).

Due to the ongoing commitment to control the incidence and minimise the transmission of the Coronavirus, it is believed to be inappropriate to offer such inspection on a face-to-face basis, therefore all such persons interested may inspect the unaudited accounts and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating thereto insofar as is possible to provide electronically.

Any person interested may make objections to the Accounts or any part thereof, together with a statement of the grounds of complaint, to the IJB’s auditor, Fiona Mitchell-Knight, Audit Director, by email to:

fmitchell-knight@audit-scotland.gov-uk

A copy of the objection and the statement should be sent to the Officer concerned and to the Chief Officer of the South Lanarkshire IJB within 21 days of the Accounts being first available for public inspection.  Any person who makes any such objection has the right to appear before and be heard by the Auditors, Audit Scotland, either personally or by a representative with respect to that objection. However due to the ongoing commitment to control the incidence and minimise the transmission of the Coronavirus, it is believed to be inappropriate for this right to appear before the Auditors to be offered on a face-to-face basis.  Any such hearing would therefore be conducted remotely using appropriate electronic communication.
