Transition from primary to secondary school
Your child’s local secondary school is determined by:
- where you live, and
- your chosen denomination.
In most cases, your child is expected to transfer to their local secondary school in the same denomination.
If you want your child to attend a different secondary school
If you would like your child to attend a secondary school other than their local catchment school, you must submit a placing request when your child is in Primary 7 (P7). You can find more information and submit a placing request online:
