Strategic Housing Investment Plan (SHIP)
Strategic Housing Investment Plans (SHIPs) are prepared by Scottish local authorities and submitted to the Scottish Government every year.
A key part of the Local Housing Strategy (LHS) process, the purpose of the SHIP is to set out affordable housing development priorities which guide the way in which Scottish Government funding and other resources will be allocated to achieve LHS outcomes.
The SHIP is a five year rolling plan which is reviewed and refreshed annually to reflect progress with project delivery and emerging housing priorities going forward.
Our current SHIP was approved at the Council’s Housing and Technical Resource Committee in August 2018 and covers the five year period from April 2019 to March 2024. You can view the Strategic Housing Invesment Plan 2019 - 2024 and associated tables.
The next SHIP will cover April 2020 to March 2025 and was approved by the Committee on 13 November 2019. You can view the Strategic Housing Investment Plan 2020 - 2025, associated tables 1, tables 2,3,4 and table 5.
