Strategic Housing Investment Plan (SHIP)
Strategic Housing Investment Plans (SHIPs) are prepared by Scottish local authorities and submitted to the Scottish Government every year.
A key part of the Local Housing Strategy (LHS) process, the purpose of the SHIP is to set out affordable housing development priorities which guide the way in which Scottish Government funding and other resources will be allocated to achieve LHS outcomes.
The SHIP is a five year rolling plan which is reviewed and refreshed annually to reflect progress with project delivery and emerging housing priorities going forward.
The Strategic Housing Investment Plan 2024-2029 was approved at the Housing and Technical Resource Committee in November 2023. This has been submitted to the Scottish Government for approval and covers the five year period from April 2024 to March 2029.
