Commenting on a planning application
View and comment/object
When an application has been validated and the status is set as registered, you can submit comments by the deadline date shown. You must make your comments within three weeks of the application being submitted or within four weeks if the application is subject to Environmental Impact Assessment. If you wish to make comments after this time period and the application has not yet been decided, please contact the case officer to see if comments can still be made. Remember your comments are made public. We will not publish any comments which we consider to be defamatory or offensive and they will not be taken into consideration when determining the application.
The current portal for viewing applications will not be updated between Friday 2 February and Friday 23 February due to the installation of new software to manage the administration of planning and building warrant applications.
If you want to comment on a planning application between these dates please email your comments to firstname.lastname@example.org - please include as much detail as possible, including any relevant application reference number.
From Monday 26 February all current application related information will be available to view on our new portal platform.
Use the planning application portal to find a planning application.
You can also see applications on the online planning portal at our Planning and Building Standards office. You can also write or email your comments to these offices. We no longer hold paper copies of plans within libraries and local offices, however if you require to see them please contact one of our local offices.
