Learn on Line

Learn on Line can be used on a variety of devices including laptops, PCs and tablets (Android and Apple), but not from mobile phones. However some settings that you may have on your device will block access - you may get a pop-up blocker message. Please email the Training Team if you need help with this.

Logging in for the first time

To login to Learn on Line for the first time you need to supply your:

  • 7-digit Employee Number - if you don’t know your employee number you will find it on your payslip. If this is not available, request this by e-mailing training@southlanarkshire.gov.uk. Alternatively telephone the Administration Team on 01698 454020.
  • e-learning password - this will be set as your Last name (first letter is a capital letter) to begin with, for example, Smith. You will be asked to change this password.

Once you have entered these details click the blue button to login.

When you select the Login button you will be taken to the Registration pages where you can change your password to something more memorable.

Your new password must be between 8 and 12 characters long, be a mix of letters and numbers and must contain at least one capital letter. Follow the guidance carefully.

You will also be asked to provide a memorable question and answer to help you if you forget your password in the future.

It is very important that you remember both which memorable question you chose and also your answer to the memorable question.

From this page you can use this button to take you to Learn on Line.

If you forget your password

If you have logged in before and have completed the Registration process, but can't remember your password, select the link 'Forgotten your password?' You will be asked for your employee number and last name, then to type in the answer to your memorable question. When you have completed this successfully you will be logged in to Learn on Line.

If you are locked out of your account

If you enter your user name and/or password incorrectly three times you will be automatically locked out of the system and you will be asked to email the Training Team.
