Local Place Plans

Register of local place plans in your area

We keep a public register of all local place plans that have been submitted and accepted. This helps you see what communities across South Lanarkshire want for their areas and how plans are shaping future development.

Once we register a local place plan, we take it into account when preparing the next Local Development Plan. This means community views are considered in future planning decisions.

Current registered plans

We have registered local place plans for:

Why the register matters

The register:

  • shows what local communities have identified as priorities
  • helps inform planning decisions
  • makes the process open and transparent

What you can do

You can:

  • view registered local place plans
  • use them to understand local priorities
  • consider creating a plan for your own community
