Our Enforcement policy lets businesses know what to expect from our staff.

The effectiveness of consumer legislation depends on the compliance of those regulated and we realise that most businesses want to comply with the law.

We will therefore help businesses and others to meet their legal obligations without unnecessary expense. We will also take firm action, including prosecution where appropriate, against those who flout the law or act irresponsibly.
