South Lanarkshire Council wifi

Partner wifi for service providers

If you work for an organisation providing services to us, you can use our partner wifi in certain council buildings. You need a compatible device and a valid South Lanarkshire Council network account. To connect, set up your device using the network details and follow the guidance provided. By logging in, you agree to follow our acceptable use rules.

What you need

To use partner wifi, you must have:

  • a wireless-enabled device
  • a current council network user account

You are responsible for setting up your device. Follow the connection guide if you need help.

Before you connect

We provide this wifi as a free service, but it may not always be available or stable. We do not guarantee speed, performance or uninterrupted access.

You use the network at your own risk. We are not responsible for:

  • loss or damage to your device, software or data
  • changes to your device settings
  • security issues while connected

We recommend that you back up your device before connecting.

Keeping your device secure

The wireless network provides a basic level of encryption, but you should take your own steps to stay safe. Make sure you:

  • use up-to-date antivirus software
  • turn on a personal firewall
  • keep your device and passwords secure

Avoid storing sensitive data unless it is properly protected.

Restrictions on use

We restrict some types of website to protect users and the network. This includes sites related to gambling and adult content.

You must not:

  • try to bypass network controls
  • access or change council systems without permission
  • interfere with the network or other users

If you misuse the service, we may disconnect you. We may also take action with your organisation if needed.

Printing and support

You cannot print through the wireless network. If you need to print, you must use another method.

Our staff cannot help you set up or fix your personal device. Make sure you are confident making any changes before you connect.

If you no longer want to use the wifi

If you do not agree with these terms, do not connect. If you have already set up your device but change your mind, remove the network settings from your device.

Get started

Check you have a valid account, follow the setup guide and connect to the partner wifi network on your device.
