Help with English if it isn't your first language

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

If English is not your first language, you can join our free ESOL classes in South Lanarkshire. We help adults and families build the skills and confidence they need for everyday life, work and supporting their children’s learning.

You can attend classes during the day or in the evening at locations across the area. We will work with you to understand your needs and help you choose the right class.

What you can learn

Our classes focus on practical English for everyday situations. You can learn how to:

  • have basic conversations

We tailor learning to suit your goals, so you can progress at your own pace.
