Other organisations that can help

With over 50 veterans' organisations in Scotland alone, it can be difficult to find just the right person to help with a problem and regardless of how long you have served, or how long you have been "out", problems can arise.

These organisations can help:

  • V1P - Veterans First Point is a one-stop-shop for veterans and their families. It has been developed by veterans for veterans and is staffed by an alliance of clinicians and veterans. Their services are free at the point of access and provided as part of the NHS. The South Lanarkshire access point is The Tolbooth Centre, 4 High Street, Lanark, ML11 7EX on Tuesdays 12-3pm
  • Veterans Scotland
  • The Armed Services Advice Project (ASAP) is working in Lanarkshire to provide advice and support to anyone who either has or is serving in the Armed Forces, Regular or Reserve, and their dependents. It is run by the Citizens' Advice Bureau and is funded by the Scottish Veterans Fund
