Public processions, marches and demonstrations

If you are organising a public procession, you need to let us know at least 28 days in advance.

You can do this by completing an online application.

You can also email licensing@southlanarkshire.gov.uk to request an application form and return by email or post to Administration and Legal Services, Floor 11, Council Offices, Almada Street, Hamilton ML3 0AA.

If you want to object or comment on a proposed procession or its route, email your objection to licensing@southlanarkshire.gov.uk and include your:

  • Name and address
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Date of parade
  • Location of parade
  • Name of organisation (if known)
  • Reason for objection
