Concessionary TV licence fees

If you live in Sheltered Housing then you are possibly entitled to the Concessionary TV Licence fee of £7.50 per year.  

If you are a new tenant and your complex has Preserved Rights for existing tenants then you will be required to pay the full Licence Fee and you will be required to pay the full fee in the usual way to TV Licencing and it will be your responsibility to make that payment.

When the Licence Fee is due for your complex then your Sheltered Housing Officer will keep you informed and advise whether your complex has preserved rights or whether you are entitled to the Concessionary fee of £7.50.

Of course, if you are 75 years of age and over then you are not required to pay a TV Licence fee at all.

In order to allow our Sheltered tenants to pay the £7.50 fee online, you will need to provide your:

  • name and address including your house number and postcode
  • National Insurance Number
  • contact phone number
  • debit or credit card details

Please note that we can’t accept payments by American Express or Electron.
