Auldhouse

Burnhouse Road is closed between Auldhouse Road and 50 metres northwestwards of Burnhouse Bridge from Monday 11 November to Friday 20 December for bridge refurbishment works. Diversion via Auldhouse Road, Shields Road, Burnhouse Road and vice versa.

Biggar

Greenshields Road is closed between Greenshields and Gladstone for 100m from Tuesday 15 October for up to 2 days for verge maintenance works. Diversion via A721, Coldpots Road, Cocklaw Road, Greenshields Road and vice versa.

B7016 Broughton Road closed between Manse Road and number 10 Broughton Road on Tuesday 22 October for tree/vegetation works. Diversion via A702, A70, B7016 Broughton Road, Spittal Road and vice versa.

Blackwood 

Tanhill Road closed between Gill Bridge and Tanhill Farm from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Friday 8 November for Openreach overhead network repairs. Diversion via Spital Road, Union Street, New Street, Lockhart Street, B7078 Carlisle Road, Tanhill Road and vice versa. 

Cambuslang

Mitchell Avenue is closed between 27 and 39 Mitchell Avenue from 7am Monday 7 October to 11.59pm Friday 18 October for Scottish Power upgrade works. Diversion via Mitchell Avenue, Henderson Avenue, Dunlop Street, Mitchell Avenue and vice versa.

Central Avenue is closed between 26 and 30 Central Avenue from Tuesday 22 October to Thursday 24 October for Virgin Media maintenance works. Diversion via Central Avenue, Wellshot Drive, North Avenue, Beech Avenue, Glasgow Road, Buchanan Drive, Central Avenue and vice versa.

Main Street is closed between Greenlees Road and Bridge Street from 6am to 10pm on Sunday 24 November for the Cambuslang festive light switch on ceremony. Diversion via Main Street, Clydeford Road, Bridge Street and vice versa.

Wellshot Drive is closed between Buchanan Drive and North Avenue from 7am Monday 2 December and 7pm Friday 6 December for repairs. Northbound diversion via Buchanan Drive, Glasgow Road, Beech Avenue and North Avenue. Southbound diversion via North Avenue, Beech Avenue, Glasgow Road, Main Street, West Coats Road, Douglas Drive, Brownside Road and Buchanan Drive.

Carluke

Luggie Road closed between Orchard Bank and Nimmo Place from 8am on Monday 16 September for up to 28 days for carriageway resurfacing. Diversion via Clyde Street, A73 Stewart Street and vice versa.

Mauldslie Road is closed between Lawhill Road and Birks Road from 8am on Monday 21 October for up to 5 days for Openreach manhole repairs. Diversion via Mauldslie Road, B7011, A73, Luggie Road, Mauldslie Road and vice versa.

Carstairs

Ryeflat Road/Westshields Road closed between the Westshields Road junction with Cockridge Road and the Ryflat Road junction with Whiteloch Road from 8am Monday 23 September for up to 28 days for repairs to Westshield Bridge. Diversion via Westshields Road, C37, B7016, A70, Ryeflat Road and vice versa.

A70 Lanark Road is closed between number 80 and number 90 on Monday 11 November for repairs to a damaged carriageway gully. Diversion via A721, A706, A73, A70 and vice versa.

Carstairs Junction

Lampits Road is closed at Lampits Railway Bridge from 10pm on Wednesday 6 November to 6am on Thursday 7 November for Network Rail bridge inspection. Diversion via Carnwath Road, Strawfrank Road, Station Road, Carstairs Road, West View, Lanark Road, A70, Lampits Road and vice versa.

Coalburn

Shoulderigg Road is closed between Pretoria Court and Shoulderigg Place from 9am to 9pm on Monday 4 November for Scottish Water replacement of defective carriageway manhole. Diversion via Shoulderigg Road, C14, U167 Stockbriggs from New Trows C13 to Cumberhead, New Trows Road and Coalburn Road.

Crossford

A72 Lanark Road is closed between Holmwood Park and Blair Road from 8am Monday 14 October for up to 5 days for resurfacing works. Diversion via A72, A71, A721, A73, A72 and vice versa.

East Kilbride

Montgomery Place is closed at Kittoch Street from Thursday 1 August to Wednesday 30 April 2025 for demolition works. There is no alternative route.

A749 Glasgow Road (westbound section) is closed at the access point to the takeaway outlets at Kingsgate Retail Park (KFC, Greggs and Starbucks) from 11.59pm Sunday 13 October to 11.59pm Sunday 20 October for Scottish Power works. Diversion via A749 Glasgow Road and Kingsgate Retail Park.

Dart Avenue is closed between Viscount Terrace and Friendship Grove from 9am Wednesday 16 October and 3pm Thursday 17 October for Scottish Water repairs. Diversion via Dart Avenue, Viscount Terrace and Friendship Grove.

Creed Grove and Forbes Place are closed from Baird Hill from 9.30am to 9pm on Friday 18 October for Scottish Water manhole repairs.

Brouster Hill is closed between Cornwall Street and Newlands Place from 9am to 9pm on Sunday 27 October for Scottish Water repairs. Diversion via Brouster Hill, Kirktonholme Road, B761, Westmains Road, Churchill Avenue, Cornwall Street and Blacklands Road.

Culross Hill and Culross Place are closed between 44 and 48 Culross Hill and the junction with Culross Place from 8am Monday 28 October to 6pm Friday 1 November for Scottish Water repairs. Diversion via Culross Hill, Dryburgh Hill, Kirktonholme Road, Blacklands Road and Falkland Drive.

Dryburgh Hill and Culross Hill are closed between 60 and 68 Dryburgh Hill and the junction with Culross Hill from 8am Monday 4 November to 4pm Wednesday 6 November for Scottish Water repairs. Diversion via Dryburgh Hill, Kirktonholme Road, Blacklands Road, Falkland Drive and Culross Hill.

Hunter Street and Montgomery Street will be closed from 7am to 11.59pm on Sunday 17 November for the Christmas light switch on. Diversion via Kittoch Street, Stuart Street and West Mains Road. 

Hamilton

Newfield Crescent is closed from Thursday 7 October until 11.59pm on Wednesday 18 October for resurfacing and installation of a pedestrian crossing. Diversion via Woodview Terrace.

Quarry Street will be closed between Cadzow Street and Duke Street from 5.30am to 7pm on various dates in 2024 for events:

• Saturday 23 November
• Saturday 30 November
• Saturday 7 December

Brandon Street is closed between Union Street and Leechlee Road (eastbound only) on Sunday 24 November for repairs to damaged Scottish Water ironwork. Diversion via Union Street, Almada Street, Muir Street, Palace Grounds Road, Blackswell Lane, Low Patrick Street and Duke Street.

Harelaw

C37 (A706 Harelaw to A70 Tarbrax) is closed between the A706 to Sheaffyknowe Farm access from 8am on Monday 11 November to 5pm on Wednesday 13 November for Openreach pole renewal works. Diversion via A706, Cockridge Road, C37 and vice versa.

Kirkfieldbank

C10 Kirkfieldbank to Sandilands Road is closed between Byretown Road and Corehouse Drive from 8.30am to 2.30pm each day between Monday 14 October and Friday 18 October to allow BT Openreach contractor to undertake manhole repair works. Diversion via Lee Law Road,C11 and C10. 

Lamington

Langholm Road is closed between Low Village Road and A702 from 8am to 4pm daily from Monday 14 October for up to 5 days for watercourse cleaning work. Diversion via Low Village Road and A702.

Lanark

Smyllum Road closed between Honeyman Crescent and Kenilworth Road from 8am on Monday 14 October for up to 5 days for carriageway resurfacing works. Diversion via Smyllum Road, St Leonard Street, Kenilworth Road and vice versa. 

A706 Lanark to Forth (Cleghorn Level Crossing) is closed between Hagholm Road and Dyke Road from 10pm Saturday 19 October to 7am Sunday 20 October to allow Network Rail to access the track with a road rail vehicle via the level crossing. Diversion via A706, A721, A70, A743, A706 and vice versa.

Greenrig Road is closed between Lee Law Road to Hawksland and Lee Law Road near Newhouse Farm from 8am to 5pm on Monday 21 October for BT works. Diversion via Greenrig Road and Lee Law from Greenrig Road to C10 at Newhouse Farm.

Waverley Crescent closed between Woodstock Road and Abbotsford Terrace from 8am Wednesday 23 October to 5pm Thursday 24 October for Openreach manhole renewal works. Diversion via Waverley Crescent, Abbotsford Terrace, Woodstock Avenue and vice versa.

High Street is closed between Bannatyne Street and Wellgate and Bloomgate is closed eastbound from Hope Street to High Street on Saturday 16 November for the Lanark Christmas Market and light switch on event. Diversion via Hope Street, Gallowhill Road, Hall Place, St Leonard Street, Bannatyne Street and vice versa.

Larkhall

Clare Crescent is closed between 9 Clare Crescent and Margaretvale Drive from 9.30am to 9pm on Wednesday 6 November for Scottish Water manhole repairs. 

Lesmahagow

C11/Devonburn Road, Brocketsbrae is closed between Brocketsbrae Road and Bog Road from 8am to 5pm on Monday 11 November for BT works. Diversion via Devonburn Road, Bog Road, B7078 Carlisle Road, Eastwood Road and Brocketsbrae Road.

Nemphlar

Nemphlar Moor Road is closed between Crossclyde View and Clydesdale Cottage from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Tuesday 19 November for Openreach pole renewal works. Diversion via B7056, A73, Nemphlar Road and vice versa.

Quothquan

Cormiston Road is closed at Strathbogie Cottage to 8000m north from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Monday 11 November for BT overhead structure works. Diversion via Cormiston Road, C24, Shieldhill Road and vice versa.

Rutherglen

Crawfurd Road is closed between Elm Road and Golf Road from 8am Monday 30 September to 11.59pm on Thursday 31 October for Scottish Water sewer repairs. Diversion via Elm Road, Hillend Road, Golf Road and vice versa.

Dunbar Avenue closed between number 32 and Richmond Drive from 8am on Monday 7 October to 11.59pm on Wednesday 16 October for Scottish Water sewer repairs. Diversion via Richmond Drive, Ettrick Crescent, Dunbar Avenue and vice versa.

Johnstone Drive is closed between Stonelaw Road and number 8 Johnstone Drive from 8am on Tuesday 15 October and 11.59pm on Saturday 19 October 2024 for Scottish Water sewer repairs. Diversion via Stonelaw Drive, Parkhill Drive, Belmont Drive, Johnstone Drive and vice versa.

Peebles Drive is closed between Cambuslang Road and Woodside Avenue from 8am Wednesday 16 October to 5pm on Tuesday 29 October for Scottish Power maintenance work. Diversion via Woodside Avenue, Selkirk Drive, Hamilton Road, Cambuslang Road, Bogleshole Road, Cambuslang Road and vice versa.

Crosshill Drive is closed between Victoria Road and number 17 Crosshill Drive from 8am on Thursday 24 October to 6pm on Sunday 27 October for Virgin Media apparatus maintenance. Northbound diversion via Victoria Road, Rodger Drive, Broomieknowe Road and Crosshill Drive. Southbound diversion via Victoria Road, Mitchell Drive, Broomieknowe Road and Crosshill Drive.

Hamilton Road is closed between 19 Hamilton Road and Stonelaw Road from 8am Monday 4 November to 6pm Friday 28 March 2025 for Scottish Water sewer repairs. Northbound diversion via Hamilton Road, McCallum Avenue, Main Street and Stonelaw Road. Southbound diversion via Stonelaw Road, Dryburgh Avenue, Calderwood Road and Hamilton Road.

Johnstone Drive closed between Stonelaw Road and Belmont Drive from 9.30am on Wednesday 6 November to 3.30pm Thursday 14 November for the BT apparatus maintenance. Northbound diversion via Stonelaw Road, Main Street, Mill Street and Johnstone Drive. Southbound diversion via Stonelaw Road, Rodger Drive, Mill Street and Johnstone Drive. 

Main Street is closed between Mill Street and Stonelaw Road and Queen Street is closed at the junction with Main Street from 6am to 10pm on Saturday 23 November for the Rutherglen festive light switch-on ceremony. Diversion for Main Street is via Stonelaw Road, Rodger Drive, Mill Street and vice versa. Diversion for Queen Street is via Potters Way, Glasgow Road and vice versa.

Greystone Avenue is closed from 1 Belhaven Terrace to 225 Stonelaw Road from 2pm to 6pm on Friday 29 November for the Christmas tree light switch on event. Diversion via Greystone Avenue, Springfield Road, Southill Avenue, Stonelaw Road and vice versa.

Hamilton Road is closed between 40 and 72 Hamilton Road, and Wardlaw Drive is closed between Hamilton Road and 41 meters south from 8am Saturday 4 January 2025 and 6pm Friday 28 March 2025 for Scottish Water sewer repairs. Northbound diversion via Hamilton Road, McCallum Avenue, Main Street, Stonelaw Road and Hamilton Road. Southbound diversion via Stonelaw Road, Dryburgh Avenue, Calderwood Road and Hamilton Road.

Gallowflat Street is closed from 8am Wednesday 8 January 2025 to 11.59pm Sunday 2 February 2025 for Scottish Water sewer repairs.

Stonehouse

Manse Road is closed between Gibb Court and The Stables from Tuesday 22 October to Wednesday 23 October for overhead wiring maintenance works. Diversion via Vicars Road, Townhead Street, Strathaven Road and Manse Road.

Lockhart Street is closed at Lockhart Place from 9.30am to 9pm on Sunday 10 November for Scottish Water manhole repairs. Diversion via Lockhart Street, Stonehouse Bypass, Strathaven Road, Townhead Street, King Street,and New Street.

Boghall Street is closed between number 2a to the sub station from Monday 11 November to Tuesday 19 November for Scottish Water works. Diversion via Angle Street, The Cross and New Street.

Ringwell Gardens is closed between Secaurin Avenue and 14 Ringwell Gardens from 8am Tuesday 12 November to 5pm Monday 25 November for connection works by Scottish Power.

Strathaven

High Kype Road is closed between Kirkwood House and Burnbrae Farm from 7am on Monday 21 October until 7pm on Friday 25 October for repairs. Diversion via High Kype Road, Low Kype Road, Struther Highway, High Kype Road and vice versa.

Common Green, Wellbrae, Main Street, Strait Close and Bridge Street (between Waterside Street and Common Green) will be closed from 8am to 6pm on Sunday 8 December for the Strathaven Reindeer Day. Diversion via A723 Townhead Street, A71 Kirk Street, A71 Stonehouse Road and vice versa.

Thankerton

Boat Road closed between Boat Road junction and Sherifflats Road on Tuesday 15 October for repairs to damaged lighting column. Diversion via Boat Road, Sherifflats Road and vice versa.

Thortonhall

Peel Road is closed between Gilmour Avenue and the train station access road from 8pm to 8am nightly from Saturday 5 October to Friday 8 November. Diversion via A727 East Kilbride Road, A726 Queensway and B764 Eaglesham Road. 

Braehead closed between Braehead House and Thornton Road from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Wednesday 6 November for British Telecom works. Diversion via Thornton Road, Peel Road, Eaglesham Road, Redwood Drive and Barbana Road and vice versa. 

Peel Road is closed from Holehouse Highway to South Hill of Dripps from Monday 11 November to Friday 15 November for repair of collapsed drainage culvert. Diversion via A727 East Kilbride Road, A726 Queensway and B764 Eaglesham Road.

Uddingston

Castle Gate is closed between Marquis Gate and Knights Gate om Wednesday 16 October for Scottish Water ironwork repairs. Local access will be maintained.

Sheepburn Road is closed between Clydeford Drive and Clydeneuk Drive from 8am Monday 2 December to 5pm on Friday 13 December for SPEN essential maintenance works. Diversion via Clydeford Drive, Kylepark Drive, Clydeneuk Drive and vice versa.

Yieldshields

B7056 Yieldshields Road is closed between Easterseat Farm and Middlehouse Farm from 8am to 5pm on Thursday 14 November for Openreach pole renewal works. Diversion via Yieldshields Road, A706, A721, Yieldshields Road and vice versa.
