Coldchapel Road from Station Road to A702 at Brigend is closed from A702 to Littlegill Farm from 8am on Saturday 27 July to 6pm on Wednesday 31 July for Network Rail renewal to railway access stairs. Diversion via A702, Edinburgh Road, Carlisle Road, Station Road and Coldchapel Road.

Blackwood

The Lairs is closed between Carlisle Road and Ashmore Avenue from 9am to 9pm on Wednesday 7 August for Scottish Water manhole replacement works. Diversion via The Lairs, Heathfield Drive and Carlisle Road.

Blantyre

Loanend Road closed between Bardykes Road and Flemington Road on Friday 20 September to allow BT safe access to overhead apparatus. Diversion via Bardykes Road, A724, Hamilton Road, Flemington Road, and vice versa.

Bothwell

Clyde Terrace closed between Blantyre Mill Road and Clyde Avenue from Thursday 25 July to Friday 26 July for the installation of speed cushions. Diversion via Silverwells Crescent, Mill Road, Blantyre Mill Road and vice versa.

Braidwood

Waygateshaw Road is closed between Oldhill Road and B7056 Braidwood Road from 8am Friday 26 July for up to 5 days for works by Openreach. Diversion via Oldhill Road, B7056 Braidwood Road and vice versa.

Crossgates Road is closed at Boghall Road from 10am to 4pm on Tuesday 27 August to allow access to a telecommunications mast. There is no alternative route.

A73 Lanark Road is closed between Goremire Road and B7056 Boghall Road from 8am Monday 2 September for up to 5 days for resurfacing works. Diversion via A73, A721, A706, A73 and vice versa.

Cambuslang

Lightburn Road closed between Letterickhills Crescent and Campsie View from 9.30am to 9pm on Monday 5 August for Scottish Water maintenance. Diversion via Lightburn Road, Hutchinson Place, Hamilton Road, Lightburn Road and vice versa.

Thistledown Drive closed between numbers 38 and 50 from 9.30am to 9pm on Tuesday 13 August for Scottish Water repairs.

Mitchell Avenue is closed between 27 and 39 Mitchell Avenue from 7am Monday 7 October to 11.59pm Friday 18 October for Scottish Power upgrade works. Diversion via Mitchell Avenue, Henderson Avenue, Dunlop Street, Mitchell Avenue and vice versa.

Carluke

Glenafeoch Road is closed between A721 Carnwath Road and Glenafeoch Gardens from 9.30am to 9pm on Thursday 1 August for Scottish Water manhole repairs. Diversion via Glenafeoch Road, A721 Carnwath Road, Strathlachlan Avenue, Brookebank Terrace, Glenafeoch Road and vice versa.

Glenafeoch Road is closed between Wilton Road and Angus Road from 8am Monday 5 August for resurfacing works. Diversion via Wilton Road, A721, Glenafeoch Road and vice versa.

High Street is closed between Market Place and the Hamilton Street junction with Park Street from 8am to 5pm daily starting Monday 12 August for up to 21 days for Scottish Water sewer works. There is no alternative route.

Pillans Avenue is closed between Mauldslie Road and 82 Pillans Avenue from 9.30am to 9pm Wednesday 14 August for Scottish Water manhole repairs. There is no alternative route.

Carnwath

Woodside Crescent is closed between Kersewell Avenue and 41 Woodside Crescent from 8am Monday 12 August to 5pm Friday 16 August for SPEN works. Diversion via Woodside Crescent, Kersewell Avenue, Carnwath Road, A721, Edinburgh Road, A70, Stanemuir Road and vice versa.

Carstairs Junction

Lampits Road closed at Lampits Railway Bridge from 10pm Wednesday 7 August to 6am Thursday 8 August for Network Rail bridge inspection. Diversion via Lampits Road, Carnwath Road, Strawfrank Road, Station Road, Carstairs Road, West View, Lanark Road, A70 and vice versa.

Climpy

B715 Climpy Road is closed between Black Law Wind Farm access and The Gate House from 7am Monday 15 July for up to 14 days for Scottish Power Energy Networks upgrade works. Diversion via B715, A71, A706, B715 and vice versa.

B715 Climpy Road is closed between Greenwall Road and Black Law Wind Farm access from 8am Monday 26 August for up to 5 days for resurfacing. Diversion via B715, A71, A706, B715 and vice versa.

Dalserf

A72 Lanark Road is closed between Garrion Bridge and Mauldslie Bridge (West Lodge) for overnight closures from 8pm to 6am from Sunday 4 August to Thursday 8 August for patching works. C36 from Newbigging to Dolphinton is closed between Roberton Back Road and Croft-an-righ House for BT works on Thursday 22 August. Diversion via C36, A702 Trunk Road, A721, Coldpots Road, Ogscastle Road and vice versa.

Douglas

A70 Ayr Road closed between Main Street and Springhill Road from 9am to 9pm on Sunday 4 August for Scottish Water manhole cover replacement. Diversion is via A70, B743, A71, B7078 and A70.

East Kilbride

Laurel Drive footpath closed between the rear access to number 113 Laurel Drive and the front gable end of number 113 Laurel Drive from Sunday 21 April to Sunday 20 October.

Bosfield Road is closed between Dunrod Hill and Orefield Place from 8am Monday 22 July to 11.59pm Friday 26 July for Scottish Water works. Diversion via Bosfield Road, Markethill Road and Old Coach Road.

Stewartfield Crescent closed between Stewartfield Way (roundabout at entrance to Morrisons superstore) and Stewartfield Road from 7am Monday 22 July to 11.59pm Friday 26 July for carriageway resurfacing works. Diversion via Stewartfield Way and Stewartfield Crescent.

Inglewood Crescent closed between number 19 and the northern junction of Dunedin Drive from Thursday 25 July to Saturday 10 August. Diversion via Dunedin Drive.

Stewartfield Crescent closed between Stewartfield Road and Lymekilns Road from 7am Monday 29 July to 11.59pm Friday 2 August for carriageway resurfacing works. Diversion via Stewartfield Way and Stewartfield Crescent.

Newlands Road is closed between number 79 and Dunrobin from 9am to 4.30pm daily on weekdays from Monday 5 August to Friday 13 September for installation of a footway and passing place associated with a housing development.

Montgomery Place is closed at Kittoch Street from Thursday 1 August to Wednesday 30 April 2025 for demolition works. There is no alternative route.

Whitehills Terrace closed between Auld Terrace and its termination prior to the underpass on Stroud Road from 7am Monday 12 August to 11.59pm Tuesday 13 August. Diversion via Whitehills Terrace, Murray Road, Sommerville Drive and Whitehills Drive.

Telford Drive is closed between Murray Road and Livingstone Drive from 7am Monday 19 August to 11.59pm Friday 30 August for resurfacing works. Diversion via Livingstone Drive, Murray Hill, and Murray Road.

A726 GSO westbound is closed between the Philiphill Interchange and Bell Craig Roundabout from 8pm to 6am each evening from Tuesday 17 September to Friday 20 September for repairs. Diversion via A726 Queensway, B764 Eaglesham Road, B767 Gilmour Street and B767 Glasgow Road.

Elvanfoot

A702 is closed between the M74 northbound off-ramp at junction 14 and Elvanfoot Bridge on either the weekends of Saturday 17 August until Monday 19 August or Saturday 24 August until Monday 26 August from 8pm to 6am to off-load, transfer and deliver an electricity transformer. Diversion via A702, A76, B797 and B7040, B797, A702.

B7040 Leadhills Road is closed between A702 Elvanfoot and Main Street, Leadhills on either the weekends of Saturday 17 August until Monday 19 August or Saturday 24 August until Monday 26 August from 8pm to 6am to off-load, transfer and deliver an electricity transformer. Diversion via A702, A76, B797 and B7040, B797, A702.

Glespin

Andershaw Road is closed between the junction of the A70 and the junction of Glespin Road from Friday 27 January 2023 to Saturday 27 July 2024 for embankment subsidence investigation and repair works. Diversion via the A70, Glespin Road and vice versa.

Hamilton

Palace Grounds Road is closed between Muir Street and Motherwell Road from 9pm to 6am each night from Monday 29 July to Friday 2 August (overnight working only) for lining works and anti-skid surfacing repairs. Southbound diversion via Muir Street, Almada Street, Wellhall Road, Chantinghall Road, Mill Road, Low Waters Road, Portland Place, Quarry Street, Duke Street, Low Patrick Street and Blackswell Lane. Northbound diversion via Blackswell Lane, Low Patrick Street, Duke Street, Brandon Street, Union Street, Almada Street, Muir Street and Palace Grounds Road.

Alness Street is closed between Scott Street and Hall Street from Monday 1 July to Wednesday 31 July for public utility connections. Diversion via Low Waters Road, Burnblea Street and Alness Street.

Campbell Street closed between number 28 and Campbell Lane from Saturday 20 July to Sunday 21 July for carriageway resurfacing.

Quarry Street will be closed between Cadzow Street and Duke Street from 5.30am to 7pm on various dates in 2024 for events:

Hillhouse Road (car park at Hillhouse Civic Centre) is closed between Clarkwell Road and St Ninian's Road from 8am to 6pm on Saturday 10 August for the Hillhouse Fun Day event.

Hillside Terrace closed between Glebe Terrace and Hillside Crescent from 8am Sunday 18 August to 5pm Friday 23 August for duct and cable reinstatement. Diversion via Hillside Crescent, Alness Terrace, Alness Street, Burnblea Street and Glebe Street.

A723 Blackswell Lane (Northbound) closed between Townhead Street and Motherwell Road roundabout from 9.30am to 9pm on Sunday 25 August for Scottish Water works. Diversion via Townhead Street, Low Patrick Street, Duke Street, Brandon Street, Union Street, Almada Street, Muir Street and Palace Grounds Road.

Jackton

Kingsland View closed between Ocein Drive and its termination from 9.30am to 9pm on Friday 2 August for Scottish Water manhole repair.

Burns Road is closed between Thornton Road and Scott Street from 8am on Monday 19 August to 5pm on Friday 23 August for Scottish Power repairs to a street lighting fault. Diversion via Scott Street, Vere Road, Strathaven Road and Thornton Road.

C4 from Kilncadzow to Lanark is closed between Moor Road and Greentowers Road from 9am to 5pm on Thursday 8 August for Scottish Power network testing works. Diversion via Greentowers Road, Moor Road and vice versa.

Larkhall

Fairholm Street closed between Merryton Street and number 3 from Thursday 11 July to Wednesday 31 July for Scottish Water sewer repair. Diversion via Fairholm Street, Sunnyside Street and Merryton Street.

A72 Lanark Road is closed from M74 junction 7 southbound off slip to Skelly Gill from Monday 16 September to Friday 27 September for surfacing works. Lesmahagow

Abbeygreen Road is closed between Bankhead Road/Abbots Way and Woodside Close from 8am Monday 12 August to Friday 23 August for kerbing and resurfacing works. Diversion via Abbeygreen, Turfholm, Abbeygreen Road, School Road, Strathaven Road, Teiglum Road, B7078 Carlisle Road and Balgray Road.

Glenside Drive is closed between Dukes Road and Trinity High School from 9.30am to 6pm on Wednesday 31 July for BT works. Northbound diversion via Dukes Road, Glasgow Road, Peebles Drive, Annan Drive, Bullionslaw Drive, and Glenside Drive. Southbound diversion via Glenside Drive, Calderwood Road, and Dukes Road.

Bankhead Road (both sides) is closed between Kilmorie Drive and Bankhead Primary School from Tuesday 6 August to 11.59pm Friday 9 August for works by Virgin Media.

Kent Drive closed between Cornwall Avenue and 21 Kent Drive from 7am Monday 19 August to 11.59pm Friday 23 August for Scottish Power upgrades. Diversion via Kent Drive, Hawthorn Walk, Drumsargard Road, York Drive and vice versa.

Greenhill Road is closed between Kirkwood Street and Stonelaw Lane from Monday 26 August to 11.59pm Wednesday 28 August for Virgin Media maintenance works. Diversion via Greenhill Road, Mill Street, Main Street and Stonelaw Road.

Crawfurd Road is closed between Elm Road and Golf Road from 8am Monday 30 September to 11.59pm on Thursday 31 October for Scottish Water sewer repairs. Diversion via Elm Road, Hillend Road, Golf Road and vice versa.

Dunbar Avenue closed between number 32 and Richmond Drive from 8am on Monday 7 October to 11.59pm on Wednesday 16 October for Scottish Water sewer repairs. Diversion via Richmond Drive, Ettrick Crescent, Dunbar Avenue and vice versa.

A71 Kirk Street will be closed between 75 Kirk Street and the entrance to the Sainsburys superstore on Sunday 11 August for Scottish Water works. Diversion via A71 to Corsilloch Brae, A72 to Hamilton, A723 to Strathaven and vice versa.

C133 Waterhead Peelhill and Linbank Highway are closed between B743 Muirkirk Road and Low Kype Road from 9.30am on Monday 19 August to 3.30pm on Tuesday 20 August for BT works. Diversion via B743 Muirkirk Road, Low Kype Road and vice versa.

Fleming Boulevard is closed between C122 Strathaven to Glassford road and 9 Fleming Boulevard from 9.30am to 9pm on Wednesday 21 August for Scottish Water works. Diversion via Boyd Orr Mews, Henderson Way, Fleming Boulevard and vice versa.

Emergency road closure: Holehouse Highway is closed between Hole of Dripps Farm and Holehouse Sewage Works from Wednesday 31 January to Monday 10 March 2025 due to structural damage to the ford. Diversion via Peel Road, B764 Eaglesham Road, B764 Cheapside Street, Gilmour Street, Holehouse Road and vice versa.

Uddingston

Church Street is closed between Main Street and Wellbank Place from Monday 29 July to Tuesday 30 July for BT works. Diversion via Main Street, Old Glasgow Road, Church Street.

Bellshill Road closed between Old Glasgow Road and Main Street on Friday 2 August for Scottish Water ironwork repairs. Diversion via Main Street B7071, right onto Old Glasgow Road and vice versa.
