Taxi/private hire car operator's licence
Guidance for additional wording around door stickers
If you want to add wording around the South Lanarkshire door sticker on your taxi or private hire car, you must get our approval first. This helps make sure all vehicles meet the same standards.
What you must do
Before adding any wording, you need to:
- send the Fleet Services office a list of all vehicles that will display the wording
- tell our Fleet Services office what wording you plan to use
If you do not do this, your vehicle may fail its inspection.
What you can include
You can only add:
- your company name
- your phone number
Size and layout rules
- the wording must fit around the existing South Lanarkshire door sticker with no gaps
- letters and numbers must be no bigger than 4.5 cm
- the full sticker (including your wording) must not be bigger than:
- 37.5 cm wide and 29 cm high for taxis
- 37.5 cm wide and 28.5 cm high for private hire cars
Get approval
Contact Fleet Services before making any changes so we can review and approve your design.
