James Hamilton Heritage Park

James Hamilton Heritage Park

James Hamilton Heritage Park is a Recognised Training Centre for the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and Paddle Scotland. The park features a 16 acre loch which provides beautiful and tranquil surroundings for our exciting range of water sports and fun craft during the months of May through to September.  The centre provides outdoor educational based sessions for both primary and secondary schools inclusive of ASN. These are also on offer to uniformed groups and organisations.

Activity taster sessions are available in order for you to experience various water sports, as well as both junior and adult courses being on offer for you to you progress.

Don't panic if water activities are not your idea of fun as there is plenty on offer for those who do not like to take the plunge. Our two adventure playgrounds are attractions and there is also a popular fleet of fun boats. We can also offer ornithologists some excellent bird watching opportunities from our bird sanctuary. The onsite café is open all year round seven days per week offering an extensive menu catering for all.

The distance around the loch perimeter path is 1.2 kilometres (3/4 of a mile).

The facility has sufficient parking onsite with a provision for EV charging during your visit.
