In partnership with NHS Lanarkshire, SLLC’s  ‘Physical Activity Prescription’ (PAP) is a partnership referral pathway which enables GP’s, Practices nurses, physiotherapists and wider allied health professionals to refer patients via PAP who would benefit both physical and psychological from being more physically active. In 2019/20 SLLC received approx 3,500 referrals and seen 35,000 usages across the service from patients referred. Mental Health has been the number one reason for referral for 19/20, with residents from SIMD 1&2 equating to 53% of those referred. SLLC/NHSL’s will continue to develop this pathway further to achieve its ambition of improving health outcomes and reduce health inequalities for the residents of South Lanarkshire.
