
Welcome to our new updated ClubSL.
ClubSL is South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture’s (SLLC) club accreditation scheme aimed at developing and supporting sports clubs within South Lanarkshire. We recognise the vital roles that sports clubs have within our communities and SLLC are committed to working with these clubs to create a positive impact through sport.
Together we can create vibrant, healthy and connected communities which offer sport for all.
Aims
The aims of ClubSL are to support the following:
- Good governance
- Inclusive sports clubs
- Growth within your club
- Training opportunities for your coaches and volunteers
- Opportunities to deliver taster sessions within local schools through our Active Schools team
- Planning and development
Who can apply?
Clubs who:
- have affiliation to a sports governing body or other appropriate association
- provide physical activity and / or sport within the community
- provide a safe environment for people to take part in physical activity or sport
- have the relevant qualifications to deliver sport / physical activity, and who have a child protection policy and liability insurance for delivering activities
Sole Traders who:
- have a recognised qualification to deliver sport or physical activity
- have Professional Indemnity / Public Liability insurance specific to activities being delivered
- will be required to be put through the PVG scheme by SLLC, to which a charge will be applicable
