Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA)
What sort of people pose a risk of harm to others?
People who have committed sexual or violent offences. These offenders will not be of any particular age, gender, ethnicity or position in society.
What they will have in common is that the offences they have committed are unacceptable, often resulting in significant physical and emotional harm to others.
It is therefore a priority for our communities to ensure the identification and conviction of those who commit such offences and those who continue to present a risk of serious harm.
