Blue Badge scheme

Use this page if you need to tell us about a change, report a badge that is lost or stolen, return a badge, or ask us to review a decision. You can do all of this online using our Blue Badge enquiry form. In some cases, we may ask you to send us evidence to support your request. You can send this using our submission of evidence form.

Change name or address

To report a change of name or address, please complete our Blue Badge enquiry form.

You do not need to tell us about a change of vehicle. You can use your Blue Badge in any vehicle, as long as you are travelling in it.

If your application is refused

If we refuse your application, there is no legal right of appeal. However, we can review our decision if you think it is wrong.

You can ask for a review if:

• you contact us within 20 working days of the date on your refusal letter
• you explain why you disagree with the decision
• you provide any new or extra information about your disability, health condition or walking ability

We will review your request and write to you with our decision. This decision is final.

Lost or stolen Blue Badge

Report a lost or stolen blue badge to the police who will give you with a crime reference number.

Once received, complete our Blue Badge enquiry form. A replacement blue badge costs £20.

Return a Blue Badge

You must return a Blue Badge if it should no longer be used. This helps prevent misuse.

Return a badge if:

• you find the badge that was previously reported lost or stolen 
• the badge is damaged or cannot be read
• you are no longer eligible or no longer need the badge
• the badge holder has died
• the badge has expired

Please send the blue badge to the address shown on this page and include a short note explaining why you are returning it.
