Anti-social behaviour

Neighbourhood issues

Complaints about anti-social behaviour or a neighbour nuisance can be reported by completing our anti-social behaviour reporting form. Alternatively you can phone our 24-hour hotline.

Most people want to live in good, peaceful neighbourhoods where people get along and there are no problems with litter, graffiti or anti social behaviour. So how do we achieve that for everyone?

As well as the mediation service to resolve neighbour disputes, we have an anti-social behaviour team to investigate serious problems, community wardens patrolling in some areas and we have stepped up efforts to clean up litter and graffiti.

In partnership with the police, we have also set up joint Problem Solving Groups. There are six multi-agency problem solving groups that operate across South Lanarkshire who continually review issues and identify trends of anti social behaviour.

As it is not solely a responsibility for one agency working alone, we work with our partners to achieve better and longer lasting solutions to anti social behaviour problems in our communities.
