Employment and training support for people living near Middle Muir and Kype Muir windfarms
If you live near Middle Muir or Kype Muir windfarms and are looking for work, training or help to get into employment, the Connect2 Renewables Employability Initiative can support you. The initiative uses community benefit funding to help local residents gain skills, overcome barriers and move into jobs.
What support you can get
We can help you:
- learn new skills or retrain
- get one‑to‑one employability advice
- access support with travel, childcare or other transport challenges linked to work or training
You must live within 10 kilometres of either windfarm and be unemployed.

If you are an employer in South Lanarkshire, we can help you create opportunities for local people. Working in partnership with Connect2 Renewables, we can:
- help you offer full‑time jobs, part‑time roles or work experience
- provide training, protective clothing or travel support for new recruits
- offer financial support to help you employ local residents
We will also give ongoing advice and support to both you and your employee.
