Safety at sports grounds

Terms and conditions of the safety certificate

The safety certificate will contain terms and conditions which we, after consultation with Police Scotland, Scottish Ambulance Service, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Planning and Building Standards, consider necessary to make the stand safe for the spectators when it is in use.  This will include any parts of the stand that are not under cover.

Terms and conditions are likely to deal with such things as exits, exit routes, stairways, gangways, barrier protection, fire precautions, stewarding etc.

In general we will balance the amount of additional safety produced by a particular measure against its cost and the extent of the risk.
