Spiders on Mars

“No pantomime, no laughing gnomes and definitely no silly wigs… just the music of Bowie played as hard and as honestly as we can.”

Formed in 2004 in Glasgow, Spiders On Mars is a six-piece band of musicians who are bonded by a love for the music of the 20th Century’s greatest musical icon. We play music from every era of David Bowie’s career. From The Man Who Sold The World and Space Oddity through the Ziggy years and onto The Thin White Duke. From the blue-eyed soul of Young Americans to the New Wave defining Ashes To Ashes. From the anthemic Heroes to the disco-funk of Let’s Dance. With over 40 classic hits and fan favourites to draw upon as well as special “full album” performances, Spiders On Mars are not a tribute band, Spiders On Mars are a rocking tribute to the music of David Bowie.

East Kilbride Camera Club exhibition

Welcome to East Kilbride Camera Club 2025 Photograph Exhibition. Our exhibition comprises of favorite images from each of our members and those of our winners from this seasons club competitions.

EKCC was founded in the 1950s and we aim to keep it going for many years to come.  We are a group of photographers from various backgrounds, with differing levels of photographic experience, knowledge, ability and skill but all are passionate about photography.  EKCC is a place where like-minded people can meet and chat about all things photography related.

We meet during our club season (September to April) every Monday evening in East Kilbride Sports Club at Calderglen Park at 7.30pm and schedule events throughout the summer.

We are a very friendly club so please dont feel intimidated and get in touch with us if you are thinking of joining, as a beginner, a novice or an expert.  Our club will give you the support and opportunities you need to help you develop your photography skills.  New friends and members are always welcome to come along to join in. The first few nights are free to allow you to settle in and decide if you wish to join us.

A huge thank you to all of our members for their submissions and also to our sponsor John Wilson Photography for printing and mounting all the exhibition images.

Cost: Free admission
