All Shook Up

The music of Elvis comes alive in All Shook Up. Inspired by Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, All Shook Up follows a small Midwestern town that is thrown into a frenzy with the arrival of Chad, a good-looking, motorcycle-riding roustabout, who rides from town to town with a guitar on his back, blue suede shoes on his feet, and a song in his heart.

Willie Sutherland exhibition

Willie Sutherland’s exhibition at East Kilbride arts centre is something of a homecoming having grown up in nearby Burnbank.

Sutherland developed his unique style of working during the lockdown of early 2021 in counterpart to his recovery from alcohol addiction. "Self portrait as a dolls house” is an 18 roomed visual diary of his emotional experience during that time.

With no formal training and having made the decision to get well and become an artist in January 2021, this work made its debut during his solo show at Glasgow’s CCA during Glasgow international art festival by June of the same year.

He has gone on to exhibit regularly as a solo artist and in regular collaboration with the estate of seminal artist George Wyllie.
