Join us as we spirit you off to the magical panto land of Old Italy… in South Lanarkshire!

Can our local fairy, Gallus Alice, prevent Mother Goose from being led to the dark side by her diabolical Ringmistress, Diavola, and her sultry sidekick, Valentino?

Will Ginny Goose save the circus from ruin, and will Carlo the clown ever manage to find her funny bone?

Does our circus strongwoman, Sofia Stromboli, have the strength to save her sister, Tina the Tumbler, from falling for Valentino’s dubious charms?

Do you believe enough in the panto magic to be able to see Giovanna’s invisible doggie, Freddo?

And more importantly, is Priscilla Goose’s bahoochy up to the strain of laying all those golden eggs?

Dine like the Duke and Duchess with a Christmas themed afternoon tea served in our stunning banqueting room. You will be greeted with a glass of festive fizz on arrival before you tuck into some tasty delights such as turkey and stuffing wraps, pork and sage sausage rolls, candied fruit cakes and decadent chocolate logs. Exhibition: The Dutch Don’t Forget – The Cameronians in the British Liberation Army

 

Standing outside the entrance to Low Parks Museum is a simple, bronze memorial plaque on a polished granite plinth that bears the words “The Dutch Don’t Forget”. The plaque was presented to veterans of the 52nd (Lowland) Division, a Scottish, Territorial Army formation that played a vital part in the liberation of the Netherlands in the final stages of the Second World War. The message is simple, the Dutch will never forget the sacrifices made by the men of the 52nd (Lowland) Division in freeing them from Nazi oppression.

Two battalions of The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) proudly fought in the Dutch campaign in the Second World War. The 6th Battalion, historically covering the county of Lanarkshire, and the 7th Battalion, drawn mainly from the south side of the city of Glasgow.

This commemorative exhibition highlights the part played by these two battalions, as part of the 52nd (Lowland) Division, in this pivotal stage of the Second World War.

It is Christmas eve and the Pantosphere is full of festive fun and cheers.

Everyone is, except Anjelica Scrooge, the richest woman in Panto Land that everyone fears.

Anjelica will be up all day and all night with guests from the past, present and future...even the Unknown from the Willy Wonka experience may appear to give her a fright!
