SL Lifestyles - Carluke

 

Lifestyles Carluke opened in October 2009 and is a multi-functional venue providing a range of community, social and enterprise services. Costing just over £14m to construct, the venue is located in close to the shopping centre. Carluke has good public transport connections with other towns and villages in the surrounding area. 

Warm, welcoming colour schemes and attractive lighting have been used throughout to help distinguish the different functional areas of the building.

The venue has quickly established itself as a hub for local people, community groups, businesses and public agencies as well as providing essential day care services for social work users. Part of the main hall is also used by St Athanasius Primary School. This reverts back to community use in the evenings and weekends.

Large function suite with stage. This suite can be sub-divided to allow for flexible use for smaller functions and events.  The function suite is supported by kitchen and bar facilities and can accommodate up to 390 seated theatre style or 216 cabaret style.

Library with ACTIVE IT learning area. Free Wi Fi access is available throughout the complex. Computer training courses are available.

Snooker /games room with 3 full sized snooker table.

Flexible activity/ studio space suitable for a variety of different uses including arts and crafts activities.

Alternative therapy rooms which can be hired for beauty treatment or by therapy service practitioner.

Starbucks cafe serving drinks and snacks. (Cafe operated in association with the Coalyard Charity)

Various conference rooms which can be used  for meetings, training and community group activities.

Specialist facilities for Social Work day-care users which are available for community use. The facilities include arts and crafts space, cinema room and quiet room.

Outdoor courtyard area suitable for al-fresco eating or just relaxing. The courtyard features a small garden and water feature.

This facility can be used for a variety of community, social and commercial activities including but not restricted to Courses and Classes, Arts and Crafts, Sports Activities, Community Meetings, Birthday Parties, Engagement Parties, Discos, Wedding Receptions, Slimming Clubs, Martial Arts etc.
