The Pairty

Date: 26/02/2027 - 27/02/2027

Every day

Location: Village Theatre East Kilbride

Time: 19:30

The Pairty 26 - 27 February 2027 Friday 7:30pm, Saturday 2:00pm/ 5:30pm £18.00 / £16.00 (subject to £1.50 transaction fee) Village Theatre East Kilbride

The Pairty returns to East Kilbride: bigger, brighter and ready for Hogmanay magic. Following their completely sold‑out run at the East Kilbride Arts Centre in 2026, The Pairty is set to return to EK, this time taking to the stage of the Village Theatre in February 2027. The much‑loved Glasgow play, produced by Purple Daisy Chain Productions, promises even more laughter, heart and nostalgia as it brings Castlemilk of the late 1960s vividly back to life.

Set in Castlemilk, 1968, the story follows four women and one very work‑shy janny, as they prepare their local community centre for a Hogmanay celebration their families will never forget. With humour, honesty and a good dose of Glasgow spirit, the play blends comedy, emotion and song into a night that audiences have described as “powerful”, “real” and “completely brilliant”.

Written by Lynne Beaton and directed by Dave Bennet, The Pairty struck a deep chord with audiences earlier this year. Audience feedback included:

  • “The play tonight was completely brilliant…”
  • “The characters were compelling and the speeches about their lives and stories were fantastic…”
  • “All of your energies made something very powerful and very real…”
  • “You should try and get it filmed for TV—perfect Hogmanay viewing…”
  • “Funny, emotional, a perfect way to spend a cold Friday night.”
  • “Reminded me of some of my favourite things from the 60s – The Family WayKind of Loving…”

With its mix of humour, heartache and unforgettable songs, The Pairty is a celebration of Glasgow life, community and the women who hold it all together.

Don’t miss out. The Pairty returns to the East Kilbride Village Theatre, February 2027. This is a Glasgow play not to be missed.

Available to book online or by calling East Kilbride Arts Centre on 01355 261000.

The Good Life

Every day

Location: Village Theatre East Kilbride

Time: 19:30

The Good Life 24-26 March 2027 7:30pm, Saturday matinee 3:00pm £16 / £13 (subject to £1.50 transaction fee) Village Theatre East Kilbride

Written by Jeremy Sams.

Original author John Esmonde and Bob Larbey.

Directed by Tom Matthew.

When Tom and Barbara Good decide to exchange the pressures of the rat race for an alternative, more sustainable way of living, they set about turning their suburban home in Surbiton into a model of self-sufficiency, growing their own fruit and veg, keeping livestock in the garden, making their own clothes, and even generating their own electricity from manure.

It's the good life for them – but not for Margo and Jerry Leadbetter, who live next door, and are desperately trying to maintain the Surbiton status quo.

Jeremy Sams' stage play, based on the sitcom by John Esmonde and Bob Larbey, reunites the well-loved characters (not forgetting Geraldine the goat) as they get themselves into and out of scrapes – some old, some new, all hilarious. This is a witty reimagining of a television classic, with a wellyful of laughs that's sure to delight audiences.

Tickets can be purchased as part of EK Rep’s series booking.

Available to book online or by calling East Kilbride Arts Centre on 01355 261000.

Cost: £16 / £13 (subject to £1.50 transaction fee)
