What will the school do?
If the school has not been notified of an absence they will try to contact the child's parent or carer, or the emergency contact given at the start of term. If they can't reach anyone, the Head Teacher will send a letter asking the parent or carer to get in touch. In certain circumstances the school may get advice from other agencies.
