Cremation charges

Bereavement Services provides a range of cremation and memorial options. Below is a list of charges from 1 April 2026.

Simple service (8am or 8.15am slot)	£519.94
Direct cremation (8am or 8.15am slot)	£397.70

There will be no charges for children aged 17 years and under (including stillborn)

Miscellaneous cremation charges	2026-27
Double service time (per slot)	£323.74
Disposal of ashes from other crematoria	£94.29
Temporary storage of ashes - first and second months only	No charge
Temporary storage of ashes (per month)	£35.19
Purchase decorative urns (variety of styles - refer to Crematorium Office)	By arrangement
Purchase a standard wooden casket	By arrangement
Certified extract of the Register of Cremation	£25.68
Postage of cremated remains	By arrangement
Use of Service Room only (per service time slot)	£323.74

There will be no miscellaneous cremation charges for children aged 17 years and under (including stillborn)

Notes

Cremation Service times are during the following hours:

Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm (inclusive)
Saturday from 8.30am to 12pm (inclusive)
60 minute service slots: 9am to 3pm (inclusive)
30 minute service slots: 8.30am and 4pm
Simple service or direct cremation slots: 8am and 8.15am

These times are inclusive of public holidays, with the exception of Christmas and New Year holidays.
