We must establish and maintain an information and advice service for carers
We have commissioned a variety of organisations to provide information and advice services for carers throughout South Lanarkshire. This includes information and advice about:
- your rights as a carer
- income maximisation and financial wellbeing for carers
- education and training for carers
- advocacy for carers
- health and wellbeing (including counselling) for carers
- bereavement support services for carers
- emergency care planning and future care planning for carers
Information and advice is made available in a range of different languages and accessible formats.
South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership has produced an Information for Carers booklet which provides details about the different types support that is available to you and the organisations that can help. This is currently being updated.
