The legendary magician the Great Baldini tells the story of his, and Baldwin the magical dog’s, life from their first tricks to the height of their careers – attempting Houdini’s greatest escape. The show is packed with magic, sweets, puppetry, sweets, water, sweets, eggs, sweets, and escapology. It’s hilariously silly…with sweets.
Come and see two true magical superstars (Baldini and Baldwin) at the very pinnacle of their powers.

SLLC’s Culture department offer a wide range of “art” activities to the local community which includes painting and drawing, ceramics, stained glass, dressmaking, traditional arts and crafts, guitar, drumming and much more.
All our tutors are talented artists and committed to inspiring participants of all ages and abilities in their creative work by passing on their expert knowledge and techniques to participants whilst building up their confidence to express themselves in whatever way they wish.
This exhibition showcases the wealth of talent that we are lucky to have within our family of “tutors”.

Opera Bohemia presents Tosca by Puccini.
Opera Bohemia, Scotland’s professional touring company, returns to Lanark with Puccini’s masterpiece, Tosca, a tale of love, lust and deception. Directed by Douglas Nairne and designed by Kenneth MacLeod, the drama is plunged into a world of crime and passion amidst the treacherous mafia underworld. Award-winning Scottish soprano Monica McGhee leads a star cast in the iconic title role.
The production is performed in a special new version for piano and solo violin and is sung in English.

Calderglen Family Run of Colour 27 July 2025
Why not join us this summer at a unique, colourful event at Calderglen Country Park on Sunday 27 July? The aim is to get as colourful as you possibly can!
You can walk, jog or run through different colour zones along the 2km route, negotiating fun obstacles, before joining a mass colour party on the main lawn.
Registration is now open and you can join up on Q-buster. Fees are £16.50 (adult), £8.50 (junior / under 16) and £42.00 family (2 adult, 2 children).
