Reuse and recycle

Timber

Timber is accepted at all of household waste and recycling centres.

All types of timber or wood can be accepted at the waste and recycling centres including painted or varnished wood, wooden furniture and DIY timber offcuts.

Wood accounts for around 5% of the average household's waste.

Timber is a biodegradable material which decomposes in landfill to produce the greenhouse gas methane.
