You can ask us for information we hold, but not all information can be shared.

When we cannot share information

Some information is protected by law and cannot be released. For example this includes personal information about individuals, where sharing it would breach privacy.

We may also withhold information if it is commercially sensitive or information that could affect law enforcement, legal cases or our regulatory work.

Our approach

When you make a request, we aim to share as much information as we can.

If an exemption applies, we will send you a written refusal notice. This will explain why we cannot provide the information and tell you how to ask us to review the decision.
