Preparing your community for an emergency

Creating a community emergency plan

A community emergency plan is a way for your community to come together to think about what it could do to be prepared and to assist the emergency services should an incident occur.

Many Scottish communities have produced community emergency plans and examples of some of these, with the actions communities are taking to make them more resilient, can be found on the Ready Scotland website.

Advice on how to prepare a community emergency plan along with templates that you can download to start you off are all available on the Ready Scotland website.
