Lanark Library is located on Hope Street, off Lanark High Street, a short distance from the Sheriff Court and a few minutes walk from the main shopping area. 

The library provides a selection of adult fiction and non-fiction books, audio books, photocopier, free wifi, children's library and organised children's events.

The library's reference library has an extensive local history collection and contains the William Smellie collection of medical textbooks.

An activeIT learning centre with 10 PCs offering free internet is available for public use.

The library has a meeting room available for hire.

Limited disabled access with some IT adaptations (Abilitynet keyboard and mice). Active IT centre is located on the upper level of the building. Additional PCs are located on the lower level. For more details, please contact the library. Assistance dogs are welcome.
