Customer involvement

Have your say at a local housing forum

Local housing forums give tenants and residents the chance to share their views and help shape housing services in their area. These meetings are open to everyone and provide a direct way for you to influence decisions about housing policies, conditions, and local services.

There are eight local housing forums across South Lanarkshire. Each one focuses on issues that matter to people living in that area.

What local housing forums cover

Forums meet regularly to discuss a wide range of housing topics, including:

  • progress on the homehappening improvement programme
  • how local housing services are performing
  • allocations and waiting lists
  • repairs and maintenance
  • rent setting
  • ways tenants can get involved and have their say

You can raise local concerns, ask questions, and hear updates about planned work and changes.

Who attends the meetings

Meetings are open to all tenants and residents. Senior staff from the local housing office attend, along with local councillors. This means you can speak directly with the people involved in decision‑making.

If tenants want to discuss issues linked to other services, we can invite guest speakers. This may include staff from other council teams or organisations such as the police.

Finding meeting dates and information

You can find dates, times, agendas, and minutes for local housing forums and other tenant participation events on the Calendar of events. This helps you see what is coming up and what has already been discussed.

Get involved

You do not need any experience or special role to attend. Just come along, listen, and share your views if you want to.
