Customer involvement

Have your say at a local housing meeting

If you rent a council home, you can come to a local housing meeting in your area. These meetings let you tell us what is working, what is not, and what you want to see improve. You can hear updates, ask questions, and speak directly to your local housing team. Meetings take place in local venues across each area in 2026.

What the meetings are for

Local housing meetings give you a chance to talk about your home and neighbourhood and help shape the services you receive. They are informal, friendly sessions where everyone can join in.

At each meeting you can:

  • get updates about housing services in your area
  • hear what we are planning next and why
  • share your views, ideas and feedback
  • raise issues about repairs, estate care or your neighbourhood
  • talk face-to-face with staff from your local housing team

You do not need to prepare anything. You can speak, listen, or just ask a question.

Why your voice matters

We make better decisions when we listen to the people who live in our homes. Your day-to-day experiences help us understand what needs to change and what we should keep doing. By coming along, you help us improve services and keep communication open and honest.

Who can come

Any customer of Housing Services can attend their local meeting. You are welcome, whether this is your first time or you have been involved before. Meetings are designed to be welcoming and supportive.

How to get involved

Meetings are scheduled throughout 2026 in each locality.

You can attend meetings in person or online, where facilities allow. You do not need any experience or special role to attend. Just come along, listen, and share your views if you want to.

To find out more about local housing forums or to ask about meetings in your area, contact your local housing office or email the policy team at housing.strategy@southlanarkshire.gov.uk.
