How can we help?

If you are under the age of 16 and are either homeless or threatened with homelessness you can contact Social Work Resources on 0303 123 1008 or visit one of their local offices.

Time 2 Talk

If you are a young person at risk of becoming homeless the council can help. We can help to reduce family conflict by resolving issues through mediation.

We can help to:

• find solutions to make family life less stressful
• improve support networks and communications between families
• make leaving home a planned move
• prevent young people leaving home too soon
• help young people to return home if everyone in agreement and it is safe to do so

Youth, family and community learning service

The council run Universal Connections youth centres across South Lanarkshire. Trained staff within these can offer a range of advice to you, including what to do and who to speak to if you are homeless. 

Wheatley Care

Wheatley Care can provide housing support services to 16 to 25 year olds across South Lanarkshire. Their aim is to offer vulnerable young people the opportunity to work with staff to make a successful transition to adulthood and independent living.

Young Scot

Young Scot is the national youth information and citizenship charity for 11 to 26 year olds in Scotland. More information on how they can help you can be found on the Young Scot website.
